    ASGS Meeting Notice

     The next Delaware Valley ASGS meeting will be on February 2nd at Conscious Glass (300 Ewan Rd, Mullica Hill, NJ) @ 3PM. At this meeting we plan to have a demonstration from Dennis Briening then we will have pizza, raffles and the business meeting afterwards. The cost of attendance for this meeting will be $8. Most of you have already paid your section dues, but if you have not, it will be an additional $7. Please send a reply to moc.liamg@yraterceSlaVleDSGSA by January 31st to RSVP for this meeting. I hope to see everyone there!

        The Southeastern Section of the ASGS is proud to offer an award to assist a Junior/Student Member who is pursuing a career in scientific glassblowing to attend the National Symposium. The recipient will be reimbursed for travel, lodging, and registration expenses associated with the 2019 National Symposium up to $1000. All applicants must be Junior or Student Members in good standing with the ASGS and must attend the two-day Junior Member Workshop, the business meeting, and the banquet. 

         Candidates must submit a resume and short, one page essay on how they would benefit from the Junior Workshops and the National Symposium. All submissions must be postmarked or emailed by February 8, 2019. The winning candidate will be notified by March 15, 2019, and upon acceptance of this award agrees to present all receipts to the Southeastern Section by August 2, 2019.
