The 63rd Annual ASGS Symposium & Exposition
Antlers Hotel – Colorado Springs, Colorado
Tuesday, June 19 – Friday, June 22, 2018
Come join us for the 63rd Annual ASGS Symposium and Exhibition to be held at the historic Antlers Hotel (www.antlers.com), 4 South Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903, in the heart of beautiful downtown.
The original hotel which opened in 1883 was called “The Antlers” because it housed a large collection of deer and elk trophies which was the envy of many; it belonged to General William Jackson Palmer who had founded Colorado Springs twelve years earlier. The hotel welcomed travelers from around the world and in fact was nicknamed “Little London” because of many English tourists who came to visit. The draw at the time was nearby Pikes Peak and the amazing natural rock formations known as Garden of the Gods. Today, the historic Antlers Hotel, a Wyndham Hotel, continues to host convention, business, and leisure travelers from around the world who are able to take advantage of the 27,500 square feet of meeting space, multiple restaurants, and a 24-hour state-of-the-art health club. Museums are within walking distance.
Colorado Springs is served by the Colorado Springs Airport (COS); the hotel is located 11 miles away. The area has many attractions such as the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak, and is an ideal spot for family vacation. For more information, please visit www.visitcos.com.
Of course, the main attraction will be the Symposium itself. There will be demonstrations, seminars, papers, posters, and other presentations, all done by volunteers. We depend on your support and would like to invite you to share your particular talent with fellow glassblowers. We look forward to welcoming you to Colorado Springs in 2018!
