The ASGS Board of Directors is composed of one representative (Director) from each of the sections plus the board officers which are not regional representatives: President, President elect, secretary, treasurer, and executive secretary. Director positions are elected by section members to a 3 year term with one re-election possible. Board officers are elected to 2 year terms.
The board holds monthly meetings via Zoom which are accessible to members only. Also available to members are: meeting agendas, minutes, Zoom recordings and reports from directors or committees.

Erich Moraine has been an ASGS member since 1979. Always involved with the Midwest section he migrated from Midwest Section chair to National Board President in 2025. He has been self employed as Wild Rose Glass for many years.
When not blowing glass he spends his time managing a small counseling practice, does video and graphics editing, runs tech services for his local church and serves on a non-profit board. He’s very interested in climate change and energy efficient housing. He’s spent a lot of time on remodeling the family farmhouse he and his wife live in to use much less energy to heat than when they first moved in.
He loves listening to music in particular bee bop jazz, St Louis style blues, anything with a pedal steel guitar, electro-swing, downtempo house and trance. Someday when he retires he’d like to spend more time brewing beer and flying kites.
